Civilization V Creation Tool

Traits

Traits are one of the key components to what makes a Civilization special. In gameplay terms, they exist in order to vary the playstyles of Civilizations, in order to make gameplay interesting no matter what civilization you select. Even if there is overlap in what Civilizations focus, traits are what keep them unique. Both Korea and Assyria heavily incentivise science gain, but they each handle it differently. Korea does this by focusing on Great People and their tile improvements, while Assyria gains technology through conquest. The trait tool will allow you to create unique situations where your Civilization will truly shine.
Traits need a reference name for them to be recognized in code. Every reference name in Civilization V goes by the same format. For traits, this will appear as TRAIT_MY_TRAIT.

Basic Modifiers

Now for what makes traits truly special. The following is a list of modifiers that exist within the Trait Table within Civilization V. You may recognize some of them, as many of them directly reference existing Civilizations in the base game. Note that leaving any field blank will make the generator ignore it completely.
